COVID-19 and what we are doing to prevent the spread: tables are further apart, no cash/card only, tables/chairs/salt & pepper shakers/sugars are cleaned and sanitised after every guest, staff wash hand frequently, wash & sanitise after clearing any table , staff santise hands before delivering your food to your table, professional cleaners and constant staff training.
Hunters & Disciples is a platform where Melbourne’s hospitality professionals can launch their careers, and gain high level experience. We partner with Serve It Up and Melbourne College of Further Education, to give their students real experience, in a real workplace. The students – the “Disciples”- can be sourced for work in other venues by employers-the “Hunters”. Our mission is to provide opportunities for our Disciples to spread their wings, rise above other applicants, and land jobs with Melbourne’s best.
We will have a rotation of students each shift, in order to provide them all with hands-on experience. Consequently, we appreciate your support, feedback and patience in this regard. Please take a moment to complete a feedback form when paying your bill. We will provide feedback to the core team and the students, so they can learn and grow from this feedback, and increase their of employability opportunities.
STAFF AND RECRUITMENT
Hunters can complete an application for staff via email to email@example.com. In your application, please detail the position to be filled, hours of work, rate of pay (if known), when you would like your Disciple to start, your address, venue name and your contact details. Alternatively, use this menu/form below, and had to the counter staff.
If you meet a staff member on shift, and want to offer them employment, please ask at the counter and we will introduce you. We will collect your details for our file, however we will leave the employment discussions up to you and the staff member.
Conditions of employment state that you must pay award rates (or above) and provide a safe and suitable workplace. All staff referrals will have their RSA, RSF and be completing a Certificate IV in Hospitality, or a dual qualification which includes Certificate IV Leadership and Management. If you recruit our students, please allow them the time to complete their course at our school, and gain their full qualification.
CATERING & MEETINGS
We can cater for your corporate meetings or events.
Our Manager and Head Chef will cater a menu to suit your needs. Alternatively please order from the catering menu (link above).
We do not provide delivery, all catering will need to be collected from our premises.
INTERESTED IN A COURSE?
Serve It Up, our partner school, has a Skills First Funding Contract. If eligible, the cost of the courses they offer will be subsidised. They also offer RSA, RSF, First Aid and a variety of other courses. They can check your eligibility on the spot, answer any questions you may have, and inform you of the next course start date.
