Hunters and Disciples is a community, a café and restaurant in West Melbourne, offering an inclusive menu and venue, catering for anyone and everyone!
Our spacious converted factory provides a sense of community in the centre of the West Melbourne neighbourhood. With large tables for groups, intimate spaces for couples, round tables suited to office meetings, quiet corners to plug in your laptop, high tables to read the paper or mingle with your colleagues whilst waiting for your takeaway, as well as two private spaces for your next corporate or private function.
Our menu is diverse, providing options for those who want a substantial feed, catering for any and all dietary requirements, family friendly and those who just want a lightweight option to suit their health-conscious way of life.
Our aim is to cater for all types of customers needs, serving you a large variety of menu options, for a range of health conscious and dietary requirements, making this a place for everyone.
Whether you want dine-in or takeaway, a small healthy meal from our lightweight options or a more substantial dish from our reputable all-day menu, we have something to suit everybody.
We aim to please our customers and exceed their expectations by making us flexible enough to offer healthy and nutritious food selections. We do this by choosing the best, the freshest, and locally produced foodstuff from eco-friendly suppliers. This is our way of supporting local businesses and families and encouraging everyone to put into place environmentally sustainable measures. This is how Hunters & Disciples delivers conscientious catering services, café, and restaurant in Melbourne.
Hunters & Disciples is not your regular café, restaurant, and functions venue. We have three large spaces, which have multiple setups. The café and restaurant seating up to 100 people. The Nest a function space with private bar catering for up to 60 people. The Crow room a smaller space suitable for corporate meeting or private dinner, seating up to 20 people.
It’s a place of potential where all our quality-trained and passionate staff who are certified serve our customers from breakfast to a little bit after lunch, making us a training café that helps train Melbourne’s new and upcoming hospitality superstars.
The building is the converted white crow tomato sauce factory, giving off that industrial feel but with warmth and character. The large spaces are easy to manage and extremely clean, allowing us to accommodate many groups from all walks of life, like parents groups, business clientele for meetings, tradies for quick serve, couples, interest groups looking for a large venue for catchups, and the whole lot. We’ve got ample car space (disabled car space) and access and limited private customer parking and on-street parking.
We’re a friendly venue where you can bring your kids as we have easy pram access, highchairs, and baby change facilities. We welcome dogs in our small seating area outside too. We take walk-ins so no need to book for reservations. A hidden gem for a lot of foodies, we’re quite off the street and only those who are in-the-know are treated to the food delights we offer. So spread the word once you’ve found yourself in Hunters & Disciples, the finest café and restaurant in West Melbourne.
Hunters and Disciples is a community, offering an inclusive menu and venue, catering for anyone and everyone!
We provide opportunities for our Disciples to spread their wings, rise above other applicants, and land jobs with the best café, restaurant, and catering company in Melbourne.
We partner with Serve It Up and Melbourne College of Further Education to give their students real experience in a real workplace that is also one of the finest cafés and restaurants with the best catering Melbourne has to offer. The students—the Disciples—can be sourced for work in other venues by employers—the “Hunters”.
We will have a rotation of students each shift, in order to provide them all with hands-on experience. Consequently, we appreciate your support, feedback, and patience in this regard. Please take a moment to complete a feedback form when paying your bill. We will provide feedback to the core team and the students, so they can learn and grow from this feedback, and increase their employability opportunities.
